Divorce mediation or family mediation is a process in which a couple or families discuss disagreements with the support of a trained impartial third person, the mediator, who assists with reaching a resolution.
As a mediator, my role is to facilitate the process for attaining an agreement. I will not make a recommendation, provide a resolution, or provide legal advice. When the agreement is reached, I prepare the Memorandum of Understanding, recording the details.
Some benefits to the mediation process:
- Safeguarding the interrelationship between parties
- Affordability
- Equal party participation
- Timely outcome
- Confidentiality
My personal reason for becoming a mediator is to help families and couples manage the conflict during potentially distressful situations and hopefully preserve the positive aspects of the relationships.
Please contact me for more details on the mediation process. My fees are available on the Rates & Insurance page.
